Shep, we missed you this week. Also, I don't know anything about d2jsp so everything I say is probably wrong. Also, I don't know anything about anything so it doesn't matter anyway. EDIT: I realized I said unID'd axe when talking about crafting, I meant to say ID'd

My thoughts about D2JSP are that its going to be completely non-existent for Diablo III. Though it will not die because Diablo 2 and other games still use the system. Why use nerd coins when you can use cash money in the RMAH.

I just found out about you guys and I thought I should check your site and podcasts out. I enjoyed both of the podcasts and I thought you brought up really interesting points, especially the future of d2jsp gold.
Being a huge D1/D2 fan I am disappointed with how Blizzard has been handling D3. I believe they've changed far too many sections of the series that I loved. One of them is the PvP section of the game which feels like they're mostly ignoring. Anyway I still have hope for the game and I hope your community grows.

Hey, doku, thanks for signing up and posting! I know it might feel like PvP is basically an afterthought for Blizz right now, I think we can still build a strong community.

Hey, doku, thanks for signing up and posting! I know it might feel like PvP is basically an afterthought for Blizz right now, I think we can still build a strong community. Yeah I agree about that, but one other thing that bothers me is that the general D3 community doesn't seem that interested in PvP either. I played in the D2 European realm and PvP was huge over there (I bet it was the same in the US realms). But after reading the reactions on the D3 official forums and seeing how the majority of the "Diablo fans" bash the PvP aspect of the game makes me really concerned about its future. I mean PvP is where I spent all my time on D2 after getting high end characters. It seems like 2v2/3v3 team arena modes are the only ones featured in the game so far. I really hope we'll see more PvP modes, but I somewhat doubt it... Going around and having a war against 7 other players outside of Rogue Encampment was one of the most enjoyable things for me about D2. Oh well, I should stop whining since I just got here Nonetheless, you guys are doing a great job with the podcasts and I can't wait for the next one.

You're going to create some kind of rating system for D3 PvP. That's perfect, BUT.. Are you going to do it only to US servers, or are you going world wide and do it in Europe and maybe Asia too? Because if you're not, and there is no way to change the realm in D3, I think I'm gonna be a

Our current plan is to set up our ladders/ratings for the North American server(s). If we have success doing it and we have a big enough following, we can start working towards doing the same thing for Europe later on.

Hey Budda,
We are working on getting our podcast on youtube, also, we just recently got approved on iTunes so we will no longer just be a mp3 link on the homepage.
Great reply on other topics! Thanks for the feedback, it will help us as we continue to expand the community.

I've tons of input i'd love to give so long as it fits the items of discussion (your niche community versus all of my experience). I'm from a Diablo 2 gaming community called Ladderhall where I have spent the past 8 years playing open dueling of .09, .10, and .11-.13. I stumbled unto this community because much like this community I podcast for Ladderhall both in person interview and Diablo related news. I'm interested in expanding my knowledge base and reach within the upcoming Diablo 3 landscape. I feel as if I might be of use to this community more than a simple member goer but this is talk for another venue. Check out my work currently for the Ladderhall Recap Podcast to see what I've been doing and how it might benefit D3combat. youtu.be/UT61oP3xn5A

Budda: I agree with you that YouTube can be a great vehicle for us to deliver our podcasts and get more viewers. Podcast #1 has been on YT for a while now and I will be putting up #2 tonight. The trouble is that our podcasts are about 50mins in length. This is too long to upload to YT in one shot, so I have to edit down the casts into small enough sections and then upload, so it takes some time. I also agree that YT provides great usage statistic to learn more about our listeners. As far as links go, our homepage D3Combat has all the social networking links displayed and each individual YT video of our podcast has the same links. When I upload podcast#2 I will be sure to include all the appropriate links. -tainted
